My development in nails and design

Everyone has to start somewhere, and for me that beginning was in early 2019. Looking back now, it honestly looks pretty terrible. I had no training at the time, but I had an amazing friend who let me practice on her—and was brave enough to walk around with these truly atrocious nails.

⬆︎ In 2020, I went to nail school and started my training. That’s when I began to improve and slowly get better.

In 2021, I slowly started to see more improvement, and by 2022 I was somewhat confident in my work. I still didn’t do any major designs and mostly stayed on the safe side.

Looking back, the shaping was still off, and I could have done so much better...

In 2023, after taking an extra course, I found more confidence and my skills started improving fast. I began experimenting with designs, pushed myself to take on challenges, and was amazed at what I could actually do in nail art.

These last two pictures are the kind of work I really love doing now. I get excited for every appointment booked with this kind of design. I love the creativity, making something small yet so beautiful, and seeing the joy on a customer’s face when their vision comes to life.:)
